The accommodation varies depending on the project chosen. Generally with conservation placements, volunteers are based onsite on the reserve or sanctuary in tented camps or farm style housing. Volunteers supporting our Knysna projects (community, medical and some conservation projects) will be staying at our Edge of Africa volunteer house, its a great house and it has views to die for!

With all accommodation volunteers can expect comfortable and well equipped lodging. We understand that the work can sometimes be emotionally and physically draining, so we ensure that our volunteers have basic, but comfortable accommodation where they can relax and unwind. This way we know that everyone will be refreshed each day to put all their energy into getting the most out of their stay.
